Cruising into Mahahual, Mexico. This is a fairly new cruise ship port. It has a long dock that can accomodate several cruise ships.
This is from the beach at Cat's Meow, a very nice place to spend some time. They have excellent food, refreshments, and swimming. It's about a mile and a half from the cruise ship dock.
The Cat's Meow and local shops are wonderful. The jumbo coconut shrimp
is fantastic. You can easily spend several hours here. If you have something particular you want to shop for, your waiter will be happy to show you which shop to visit. Make your "best deal".
It's a dog's life....staying cool on the beach. We should all have this stress free lifestyle. The tourists feed him, and he lays on the sand and watches the sea.
Cozumel, Mexico is the place to shop. There is something for everyone and every price range. You can even go to the shops in this carriage.
Smoke 'em before you get home. There are a lot of shops with very nice and unique things in Cozumel. If you're bored with the local malls and the run of the mill stuff, this is the place to go. Rather than looking at store sticker prices, exercise your bargaining skills and have fun doing it!
Cheerful furniture! The hardest part is figuring how to get it home. The merchants would probably ship it to you.
Nice place to stop getting off the ship in Cozumel. This restaurant is open to the street and has mariachi type musicians moving around the tables. It's very festive and the food is great.
Another good cantina to stop and cool off with $1 Corona's. Plenty of souvenirs to buy too. It's a very colorful place.
Local dancers at the shopping mall work very hard entertaining the tourists. Tips are welcomed and appreciated.
If you want to see another type of dance exhibition, just walk a little further in the mall.
Cozumel has a busy waterfront. This picture was taken from the Palmeras restaurant.
